Boro Under-21s drew 2-2 with Celtic on Wednesday in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Rockliffe.
As the international break draws to a close our U21s got some more valuable minutes against the SPL youngsters.
Goals either side of half-time from Hazeem Bakre and Rio-Patterson-Powell ensured honours ended even.
Mark Tinkler’s side now look ahead to their clash against Leicester City on Monday 23 September in PL2.
Boro U21s will be looking to bounce back from recent defeats at the hands of Sunderland and Chelsea when they travel to the east Midlands.
