Leeds United visit the Riverside on Tuesday as both sides look to strengthen their position heading into the closing stages of the season.
Ahead of the game, here is a closer look at the Whites...
The background
Leeds are third in the Championship on 82 points, narrowly behind Burnley and Sheffield United in the standings.
The Yorkshire outfit are aiming for promotion to the Premier League, having been beaten in the play-off final by Southampton last time out.
Although recent results have been mixed - they have won one of their last six matches - they remain well-placed heading into the final six.
Last time out, they drew 1-1 with Luton Town, with Daniel James netting Leeds' goal.
The boss
Daniel Farke is in his second season in the Leeds hotseat, having been appointed in the summer of 2023.
The German is aiming to achieve his third promotion to the top flight, having twice won the Championship in charge of Norwich City.
Prior to his time at Carrow Road, Farke was in charge of Borussia Dortmund's second team.
He had short spells with Krasnodar and Borussia Monchengladbach between his two stints in the Championship.
Key players
Japan international Ao Tanaka has been among Leeds' standout players this season. The midfielder made the move to Elland Road last summer from Fortuna Dusseldorf.
Joël Piroe is been another who has been instrumental to Farke’s side. The striker has 15 goals to his name and is the Whites' leading marksman.
James has also been a constant threat. The Welsh right-winger has bagged 11 goals and nine assists.
At the back, Joe Rodon has been a consistent performer since joining Leeds on a permanent transfer ahead of this season, making 40 appearances so far.
Past meetings
This is the third meeting between Boro and Leeds this season.
We triumphed 3-0 at Elland Road in the Carabao Cup last August, with Leeds winning the league fixture 3-1 at the same venue in December.
