Boro Women held to a draw by the Minsterbelles.

Michael Mulhern named one change to his starting 11, bringing in Keira Skelton for Emma Foster in defence.

The hosts had the first bits of action in the box as they won two corners in quick succession from some good blocks from the Boro defence.

Boro's first chance on goal went close, as Ellen Turnbull found herself on the edge of the box, she fired at goal, missing narrowly over the bar.

Filled with confidence from their win on Sunday, Boro looked good as they played through the thirds with some slick passing, before Giles played Mett out wide who crossed into Elson at the back post but her shot was blocked.

Boro were dominating the game and took a well-deserved lead just before the 20-minute mark, as Wilkinson fired a cross into the back post where the ball was headed back across goal to Jess Mett who, unmarked put her headed effort past the 'keeper.

Well worth the first, Boro were chasing a second, and almost got it as Kacie Elson was found at the back post to open up for a low shot across goal but the 'keeper did well to get down quickly and stop it.

Giles was looking full of energy and had been at the core of all good things Boro were doing, she almost grabbed herself a goal as she curled an effort from outside the box but a lunging save from the 'keeper dealt with it.

Millie Bell would go into the book after a challenge on Felicity Jones and an exchange off the ball between the pair.

Boro continued to dominate possesion and created some half-chances while York hardly stepped foot in the Boro half - but it would be just one goal that separated the sides at the break.

In the second half, York had the first effort on goal as a free-kick was delivered from wide into the penalty area, a York head met it and fired over the bar.

Just before the hour mark Michael Mulhern made his first change, bringing on Armani Maxwell for Kacie Elson.

York were having their share of possesion at the start of the second half, and it called Ellen Packham into action as she raced back to put in a great block to deny York the chance.

From the subsequent corner York nearly drew level as a looping header went over Wareham in goal but bounced off the crossbar and Boro cleared away.

With just over 20 minutes left Boro made two more changes, Georgia Gibson and Becky Ferguson were both introduced for Robson and Mett.

York drew level on the 72nd minute through Felicity Jones as she hit a low shot into the bottom right corner on the half-volley after a loose ball dropped into the Boro box.

Ferguson almost created herself a big chance as she dummied her marker, then drove towards the 18-yard box before her shot was blocked.

Boro were looking to go back ahead but it wasn't coming off, Turnbull did well to drive out wide and get into the box before delivering a good ball into the penalty area but somehow no-one could get on the end of it.

The final minutes continued in the same vein and Boro would have to settle for a point on the road.
