Goalkeeper Zach Hemming has joined Chesterfield on a permanent basis.

The 25-year-old joins the Spireites for an undisclosed fee.

A product of our Academy, Zach has already clocked up almost 150 appearances in senior football, but hasn’t figured at first team level for Boro.

He spent two seasons on loan with Kilmarnock and also enjoyed 18 months at St Mirren, where he played a key role in guiding the Buddies to fifth spot and European qualification.

Zach also had a 10-game spell on loan at Leyton Orient early last season.

The goalkeeper joins a League Two club who will be aiming for automatic promotion after losing in the play-off semi-finals in May.

We wish Zach all the best for the future.
