Alex Gilbert made a vital contribution as his brace of assists helped turn defeat into victory for Charlton Athletic.

The on-loan 23-year-old was brought on as a 67th-minute substitute for the Addicks in their London derby away to Leyton Orient, with his side trailing 1-0.

A pair of stoppage-time corners from Gilbert were converted to seal a 2-1 win which moved Charlton above their opponents and into the League One play-off places.

There was FA Cup action for Josh Coburn with Millwall. He played 66 minutes of the Lions' 3-1 defeat to Crystal Palace, with the score 2-1 when he departed.

In the Scottish Premiership, goalkeeper Zach Hemming played the full 90 minutes as St Mirren were beaten by champions Celtic.

Two Boro loanees went up against each other as Micah Hamilton's Stockport County beat Sammy Silvera's Blackpool 2-1 in League One. Both were introduced as second half substitutes.

Lukas Engel played 85 minutes of FC Cincinnati's 4-1 loss at Philadelphia Union in MLS, while Jack Hannah was part of the Queen of the South side defeated 1-0 by Kelty Hearts in Scottish League One.
