The visitors broke the deadlock on the half-hour mark. Sean Neave was awarded a penalty after being brought down inside the area. Neave stepped up to take the spot-kick and calmly converted.

Straight after the restart at the start of the second half, Ben Parkinson doubled the Magpies' lead when he found the bottom corner from an Alfie Harrison pass.
