We’re proud to support Her Game Too as we celebrate International Women’s Day and the female players, staff and fans who make MFC.

Founded in May 2021, Her Game Too is a passionate movement dedicated to tackling sexism and promoting gender equality within the world of sport.

MFC is among a host of clubs across the country working with Her Game Too to make football a more inclusive place; raising awareness of the issues women face in football, engaging with the community, and offering educational initiatives.

We’ve recently welcomed Margaret ‘Mags’ Bradshaw, a Teesside businesswoman and passionate Boro fan, as our first Her Game Too ambassador.

Mags Bradshaw

“Being an ambassador for Middlesbrough FC with Her Game Too is an absolute honour.  I am so passionate about teamwork and building a space for everyone to perform and get involved so this opportunity just takes that to a whole new level.

"Sport is for all and Her Game Too is leading the way in ensuring that this is visible both on the pitch and off. I believe that sport unites a nation and therefore that is everyone so being able to take an active role in promoting that on behalf of such a wonderful football club is truly humbling and very exciting.

"Having been actively involved with the women’s team at the club as a sponsor and vocal spectator, this role with Her Game Too will be such a great opportunity to share the message of inclusivity across both the men’s and women’s game.”

We’re promoting Her Game Too and our partnership with a host of activity across both last Sunday’s Boro Women match against Stockport County and tomorrow night against QPR at the Riverside.

Your Voice Matters

Experiencing sexism or misogyny, online or in person, is never okay. We want to ensure the Riverside is a safe and welcoming environment for all. Reporting incidents is a key step toward change, and we’re here to support you.

On a matchday, you can contact the MFC Equality, Diversity and Inclusion text line by texting RSBS to 60777, giving full details of the incident and which stand, row and seat it took place if possible. The text will be sent to the matchday safety team who will investigate via steward intervention as well as direct or remote observation.

You can also speak to a club steward or other member of staff, use the free Kick It Out App. Find out more.
